flandria - he meant skyline, not Foothill. Yes, there is a cut-across on the dirt. You can make it on a road bike if it's not muddy and you pick the right path. You can see the main road across to Page Mill if you look at it on Google earth.

huh? there is a dirt path to connect to Foothill or Pagemill? how long is the dirt path? that would be cool to connect...please elaborate. :-)
i know the road stops and if i am mtn biking - i go through the gates to drop down to stevens creek dam...
